How safe will I be in an Unyoked x Forestry England if they aren’t totally private?

Written by Lucy

Forestry England is well-run and well-managed. Rangers are active on site, trails are waymarked, and people have been enjoying these woods safely for generations.

We’ve tucked our cabins away from the main paths and visitor centres, and many of the forests’ car parks and gates shut to visitors overnight, so at many times it will feel like you have the forest to yourself.

Each cabin is designed to be secure, with locking windows and doors, and, while we recommend keeping the blinds open to wake up with the sun, our blinds are block-out so if you feel more comfortable drawing them you can.

You'll also have other Unyoked community members on the property, close enough to feel safe knowing there's likeminded folks nearby, but far enough to never have to interact if you don't want to.

Treat it like any time outdoors: keep the cabin secure when you head out, bring a torch for evening walks, and watch your step at dusk. Pay attention to any notices and signage so you can enjoy the forest safely. Nothing to stress about. Just things worth knowing.

If you do need anything while you're there, our support team is available via SMS from 9am to 9pm daily, so you’re never far from a helping hand.
