Can I bring a CPAP machine?

Written by Eloise

Absolutely. Many of our guests bring CPAP machines with them and enjoy their stay without any issues.

Before you book, there are a few important things we'd like you to know.

Our cabins are off-grid

All Unyoked cabins are powered by solar and battery systems. While they're designed to comfortably power the essentials, we can't guarantee an uninterrupted power supply throughout your stay.

Higher-powered appliances, particularly those used overnight when the batteries aren't being recharged by the sun, place a greater demand on the system. If the cabin's battery becomes depleted overnight, the power will switch off and won't begin recharging until there's enough sunlight the following day.

Using a CPAP machine

You're very welcome to use your CPAP machine at the cabin. Many guests do so without any problems, however every CPAP machine has different power requirements and we can't guarantee continuous overnight power.

If you're planning to bring two CPAP machines, it's important to know they'll place a much higher demand on the cabin's power system, making an overnight power interruption more likely.

Is an off-grid stay right for me?

If you can safely sleep without your CPAP should the power be interrupted, you're very welcome to bring it along.

If uninterrupted power is medically essential for your CPAP to operate safely overnight, our cabins may not be the right fit. As we can't guarantee continuous power, we recommend choosing accommodation with a reliable mains power supply instead.

If you've already booked and this applies to you, please get in touch with our customer team as soon as possible. We'll chat through your options before your stay.

Still unsure?

If you're not sure whether an off-grid cabin is suitable for your setup, just reach out before booking.

We'd always rather have an honest conversation upfront so you can make the right decision for your needs.
