Is the cabin private? These are open-access forests, right?

Written by Lucy

Yep. Forestry England forests are open-access woodlands that are used by the public during open hours.

Your cabin is tucked well off the main trails, and it's yours for the full stay. But it is an open-access forest, which means occasionally someone might wander past in the distance during the forest's open hours. It's rare, but it happens, and we'd rather you knew that upfront than found out on arrival.

Our Forestry England cabins sit as a collection within the woodland - a small cluster of up to five Unyoked cabins in the same stretch of forest. You won't necessarily see each other, but you'll know there are a few likeminded people nearby. Think of it less like a row of holiday lets and more like a quiet corner of the woods that happens to have a handful of very good-looking cabins tucked into it.
